Denying equal SS benefits to LGBT persons is a travesty. If the federal gov't doesn't want to pay out equal benefits, I suppose that might be okay (not really because that codifies discrimination) but then DON'T REQUIRE THE SAME LEVEL OF PAYMENT from those persons who aren't entitled to the SAME LEVEL of privilege. This situation is horribly unfair and any reasonable person can easily see the unfairness of it.
