Dear Andrew W,

You have posted anti-GetEQUAL comments on at least six other sites. Why? GetEQUAL’s is simply using the Direct Action approach used by Gandhi, Dr. King and Act-Up. The repeal of DADT will depend on the effective and direct action of President Obama. I am puzzled why Obama appealed Judge Virginia Phillip’s ruling that DADT is unconstitutional. Compare his action with that of Gov. Schwarzenegger (R) of CA who did NOT appeal Judge Walker’s ruling that Proposition 8 was unconstitutional.

Should I thank you, AndrewW, for slurring transgender women like me?

If you look at the photos of those on the White House Fence, I’m Autumn Sandeen, the retired, service-connected-disabled, Persian Gulf War veteran in the dress blue U.S. Navy uniform, handcuffed to the White House fence. I served our country for 20-years between 1980 and 2000; I am a transgender American.

If you want to complain about “angry transgender drag queens,” it appears that you are specifically calling me out for supporting freedom, equality, and justice for the entire LGBT community — You’re specifically calling me a racist, even though I stood handcuffed against the White House fence on November 15th next to peer veteran Sgt. Rob Smith, near Lt. Dan Choi, as well as near my peer San Diegan Evelyn Thomas.

If you believe I’m a racistangry transgender drag queen, please point out what I said to the President on the fence, or eleswhere for that matter, that is or was racist. If I said a racist thing, I will definitely apologize for it — but I don’t know what I said which could possibly be construed as racist.

Meanwhile, I can now point to you, AndrewW, saying transphobic things — being a transphobe.

I am so very proud of Robin and that she was able to be heard. It is a huge accomplishment for Robin, getEQUAL, women, LGBTQAI and all who are seeking social justice. I wish that the wealthy lobbying groups had been the change we want to see by insisting that everyone could attend the high profile meetings; as we all know, separate is not equal.
But backdoor, side door, any door, Robin took millions of us in with her and I am proud of her.

Power never concedes anything without a struggle. It never has, and it never will.

Obama is the Power. He’s made it clear for two years that he will not give up DADT without a fight and had defended it passionately in Court. He’s said that he believes it be Constitutional. He’s fired nearly a thousand men and women simply for being Gay, Lesbian, or Bi.

Every one of them, purely and entirely his choice.

Keep beaming positive love rays at him, Andreww, if that’s the path you prefer. But it sure doesn’t seem to be accomplishing a lot.
