reading larry’s call-to-arms piece again reminded me of where we’ve come from – and how much further we still have to go in fighting hiv/aids. btw, i believe that woman standing with us is a friend of the late, great connie norman. my recollection is that connie and her crew of act uppers from LA, who were very supportive of the action that weekend at the capitol building, knocked themselves out spreading the word about ‘hands around the capitol’ and that the woman in purple was designated by act up/la to speak at the rally that day. -michael
