For anyone else who might receive the aforementioned OFFENSIVE text (SMS) message from http://www.StopSB48.c0m and ETT@StopSB48.com on your cell phone, you can also file a COMPLAINT with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) by filling out a “Form 1088″ for non-solicited recorded and text messages to wireless devices/cell phones at http://esupport.fcc.gov/complaints.htm.

I hope our complaints to the FTC and FCC will hopefully place a big spotlight on the illicit activities — in terms of those of us who registered our personal numbers with the National Do Not Call Registry some time ago to block marketing messages — that are being systemically conducted by this Stop SB 48 organization which is intent on circumventing federal and state regulations regarding our privacy rights from unsolicited, unwanted and otherwise patently offensive text or recorded messaging!

Oh, I found that phone number and address for this front group for Stop SB 48 and also dropped it into my complaint with the Federal Trade Commission’s National Do Not Call Registry site. Do you have any phone number (toll-free or not) for this http://www.StopSB48.com, because I just received an UNSOLICITED and very offensive SMS text hate message from this Stop SB 48 organization and I have had my cell phone number registered with the National Do Not Call Registery for quite a few years now. I have submitted the following complaint with the National Do Not Call Registry, which, from what I understand, is overseen by the Federal Trade Commission and/or Federal Communications Commission:

“I received the following call as an “unsolicited” SMS text message from a political organization called “Stop SB 48″ (http://www.StopSB48.com) and specific origination email address (ETT@StopSB48.com) with the following OFFENSIVE, unwanted text message: “(Stop) Homosexual & Transgender training in schools http://www.StopSB48.com to Download, Sign, Stamp & Send Petitions that will Voter Veto SB48)” received on my cell phone (310-486-xxxx) on 11/5/2011 at 2:35 p.m. (Pacific Time).

I don’t know what the FTC and FCC do in terms of upholding the provisions of the National Do Not Call Registry in regards to “unsolicited” SMS Text Messaging (which I also get charged for a set phone plan), but this kind of unwanted political, anti-sexual preference-based messaging is HIGHLY OFFENSIVE and unwanted on my part.

This is supposed to stop bullying? I think we should just teach our children to respect everyone. Why does sexuality need to be discussed to teach people not to bully and to respect each other? I do not appreciate schools being used as a podium to teach morals and values to my children. I will teach them my families beliefs, morals and values. Including this in kindergarden curriculum is ridiculous as we do not teach heterosexuality at that age. Also, with all of the budget cuts this should not be a high priority for spending money. If this is intended to show a different belief then stop preventing Christian beliefs and values from being included in the classroom! The hypocracy! Go about your lives and stop trying to tell children about what goes on in your bedroom!
