You are welcome to join OccupyEquality https://www.facebook.com/groups/occupyequality and ask your question there or on the Facebook page http://facebook.com/occupyequality. We have a goal of having a 50-state presence on Facebook but that is a work in progress.  Maybe https://www.facebook.com/pages/Occupy-Oakland/143158405783305 will have more information for you Currently OccupyEquality is working to network the LGBTQ Occupy Alliances nationally and internationally. In college during the days of Women's Liberation, I was taken by Engels' "Origin of the Family" in which he argued that women were the "first slaves" because of our reproductive capacity. Not a whole lot of men I knew who called themselves Marxists or Communists or even SDS were interested in THAT part of the "revolution."  And you know that many of the progressives in the 1930s/40s enthralled with the idealistic view of Communism were aghast to learn the truth about Stalin. So I say let the folks have their beliefs and argue with them about those beliefs and how they were played out historically - but a T-shirt emblazoned with the hammer & sickel is only one of the graphics displayed at Occupy LA. Can you tell us more about what's happening tomorrow? I hear that Occupy Oakland is planning a blockage and strike at the port. Are other Occupy groups encouraging people to go on strike in solidarity? Thanks. Karen O Thank you. Can you tell us more about what’s happening tomorrow? OccupyEquality is currently not an official Occupy affiliated group. About 350 Occupy LGBTQ activists have joined the group so far including LGBTQ activists in the UK and France, to network with each other.  Some Queering Occupy Wall Street and  Occupy L.A. Queer Affinity Group members also networked with OccupyEquality on our Facebook group. We started a nightly 9 pm ET meeting here http://www.stickam.com/group/occupyequality which is an open channel for all LGBTQ Occupy activists to connect from the street to the net anytime they want to. If LGBTQ Occupy Alliances want to set up a time for their meetings to go live on that chat room, they can contact me at occupyequality@occupylive  so we can connect everyone nationally and internationally. https://www.facebook.com/groups/occupyequality/
