Openly gay Republican presidential candidate Fred Karger,who’s been traveling the country running for the GOP nomination while spreading the message of LGBT inclusion, will lead a group of volunteers and an acclaimed bagpiper through the streets of West Hollywood and Los Angeles Saturday morning. This is the third in a series of campaign walks the California candidate is holding on Saturdays this month in select cities across the state. Karger is the first openly gay candidate to run for President of either major political party. He is the only Californian running and one of only 2 Republicans still in the race who will appear on California’s June 5th Primary ballot.

Karger’s campaign spent the past week on a statewide tour of California visiting dozens of cities including Santa Barbara, Salinas, San Jose, San Francisco, Davis, Sacramento, Stockton, Modesto, Fresno and Bakersfield in a large black mini-bus dubbed the “California Express.” Anyone interested in participating in or catching up with the walk please contact Karger’s California Field Director, Shane Miller: 310-849-3434 or shane@fredkarger.com.
Participants can expect free “Fred Who?” t-shirts, bagpipe music, food, drink and fun as they join the Fred Karger for President campaign team in this unique voter outreach. Karger and his supporters will be giving away the campaign’s popular Fred Frisbees and other materials as they meet, greet and listen to local voters. The walk will conclude at 2:00pm and a hosted lunch at The Abbey will follow for volunteers.
On Sunday, May 20th Karger and company will be participating in the Long Beach Gay Pride parade (Spot #55) beginning at 10:00 am in Long Beach, California.
