President Obama spoke briefly at a rally in Florida but suspended his campaign comments saying there are other days for politics. He said he was grateful that he and his wife Michelle would be able to hug their daughters tonight when others would not. Appearing on live TV, Obama led the nation in a moment of silent prayer for the victims of the movie massacre and other violence that happens without publicity.

I’m all for citizens having as little restrictions on carrying a concealed handgun with a permit, but the fact that assault rifles and bulletproof vests can be purchased by any citizen is horrendous. The guy was armed to the teeth with weapons that should never reach civilian hands.

I always get nervous when I see a guy who likes to have more than two guns in his home. That’s just a problem individual waiting for that trigger happy moment.
