The public is invited to “An Evening of Reflections” being held for longtime gay civil rights leader Willis Edwards (Jan. 1, 1946-July 13, 2012) Friday, July 20 from 6:00-8:00pm at the Angelus Funeral Home, 3875 Crenshaw Boulevard, LA.
Additionally, there will be “A Celebration of Life” on Saturday, July 21 at 2:30p at First AME Church, 2270 South Harvard Blvd., LA.

His remains are here but he is no longer here…he is gone. And in his heavenly residence other things are gone.
HIV/AIDS….gone.
Diabetes…gone.
Cancer…gone.
Earthly burdens…gone.
Suffering…gone.
Pain…gone.
My “bestest friend in the whole wide world” is gone. I am at peace with glorious and wonderful memories to cherish.
