The public is invited to “An Evening of Reflections” being held for longtime gay civil rights leader Willis Edwards (Jan. 1, 1946-July 13, 2012) Friday, July 20 from 6:00-8:00pm at the Angelus Funeral Home, 3875 Crenshaw Boulevard, LA.
Additionally, there will be “A Celebration of Life” on Saturday, July 21 at 2:30p at First AME Church, 2270 South Harvard Blvd., LA.
In lieu of flowers, friends request a donation be made to Beverly Hills-Hollywood NAACP – ACT-SO, 1680 North Vine, Suite 700, Hollywood, CA, 90028.

His remains are here but he is no longer here…he is gone. And in his heavenly residence other things are gone.
HIV/AIDS….gone.
Diabetes…gone.
Cancer…gone.
Earthly burdens…gone.
Suffering…gone.
Pain…gone.
My “bestest friend in the whole wide world” is gone. I am at peace with glorious and wonderful memories to cherish.
Yes…he is gone; but never…never…never…no not ever forgotten.
