(UPDATED to scratch incorrect info) The Los Angeles Times has an excellent story about the historic San Diego Gay Pride Saturday where about 200,000 people cheered on nearly 350 mostly active duty gays in the military in uniform, some with their spouses, partners and family. The CBS News affiliate Channel 10 has a small video that includes the controversy over the mayoral candidates – liberal Rep. Bob Filner, versus openly gay Republican City Councilman Carl DeMaio, who the San Diego LGBT community says had ties to supporters of Prop 8.
