From the LA Gay & Lesbian Center:
LifeWorks and the L.A. Gay & Lesbian
Center is proud to present Models of Pride for its 20th Year
Anniversary!!!
Twenty plus years ago, many of us were not yet
born, a brilliant, brave and insightful woman created a safe space at her
school, in her classroom for LGBT students.
As the recognition of the need for safe spaces
grew beyond one person, one school, the idea was hatched to create an event
that would allow LGBT youth, and their allies to come together to share their
experiences, and learn from them.
Models of Pride was born.Â
A conference about you being you – where you can meet other
LGBTQQIAA + students, make new friends, reconnect with old ones, learn about
your heritage, network you GSA – and all before lunch!
