Merry Christmas. I first discovered the Playing For Change multimedia project on the Bill Moyers’ show, during which he played excerpts from the extraordinary rendition of the Ben E. King song, “Stand By Me” with input from musicians from around the world. It still makes me happy and hopeful – as I hope it will you. As an extra Christmas present, I’m including the new song, “A Better Place,” commissioned by the UN Millennium Development Goals Achievement Fund to raise awareness of social and economic inequalities based on race, religion, ethnicity, gender, and even location. That’s followed by John Lennon’s iconic song, “Imagine.” May this day bring peace to you and the ones you love.
